Meredith Craft, DO

All Providers
Meredith Craft, DOMeredith grew up in Lynchburg, VA and headed south to North Carolina for college and medical school. She met her husband, Jordan, while doing a medical school rotation at Lehigh Children’s Hospital in Allentown, PA. Since completing her residency in Johnson City, TN, she is excited to plant roots in Lancaster and join the EPPA team. Meredith loves every aspect of pediatrics but especially enjoys building relationships with patients and families that span from newborns to college-bound teenagers. Meredith loves sunshine, and when not at work, you’ll most likely find her outside running, biking, hiking, or playing tennis, soaking up the sun.

What’s the best advice you ever received?
MC: When I was in high school, I decided I wanted to be a pediatrician. Along the journey, I sometimes questioned if I should pick a career that would take less time to get to the final goal. My mom told me “Don’t give up a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish. The time will pass anyway.” The journey to becoming a doctor was long and challenging, but I am so glad I held onto the goal.  Now I get to do what I love everyday, and so much life happened along the way!

What is next on your bucket list?
MC:
My husband and I love all things outdoors, especially hiking. Some friends gave us a scratch off poster with all of the national parks. We have enjoyed some pretty epic hikes but nothing is as exhilarating as scratching off a new park on our poster! We are looking forward to a weekend in Acadia National Park this fall.

Learning is a lifelong process. What do you plan to learn more about in the upcoming year?
MC:  I am very passionate about preventative care.  I plan to continue to learn about childhood obesity and metabolic syndrome as well as tactful ways to combat them.  I also hope to learn how to make the world’s best chocolate chip cookie... to eat in moderation, of course!

What makes you laugh?
MC:  Kids! From baby belly laughs to blunt, unfiltered questions and comments from toddlers to teens finding their parents completely embarrassing, I laugh all day. I truly believe I have the best job!
