Are We a Good Fit?

Welcome!

When choosing a pediatric practice for your child, it is important to find a good "fit". Excellent care happens when the practice's philosophies regarding medical care are consistent with your own. Decision making is based on mutual respect and aligned beliefs and values.

Please review the information below to be sure Eden Park Pediatric Associates is a good match for you and your children. We sincerely hope we are!

  • Vaccines

Our vaccine policy follows the schedule outlined by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics. You can review each vaccine that will be given during each well appointment here. If you would like more information about a particular vaccine, our providers are more than happy to discuss the benefits supported by studies behind each CDC and AAP recommended vaccine.

  • Antibiotics

Eden Park prescribes antibiotics purposefully and evaluates each child to avoid the overuse of antibiotics. We educate families on appropriate use of antibiotics, and follow evidence-based guidelines. We do not routinely call in antibiotics over the phone as we do not believe that is good medicine. We will prescribe an antibiotic when we believe it is the appropriate treatment after your child has been seen.

  • Medical Home

Our goal is to provide comprehensive medical care and serve as your medical home. Therefore, it is best when you contact our office FIRST before seeking specialty care, or heading to Urgent Care so we can provide you with the best recommended course of action for your individual child and their medical history.

Whenever you do see a specialist, we ask that you request a report be sent directly to our office so we can coordinate all of your care.

  • Technology

Our practice prides itself on efficiency through use of technology. We encourage our patients to contact us through our patient portal, use this website for information, acknowledge automated reminders, and utilize online resources such as CHADIS.

  • Office Hours

We make every effort to meet the needs of our patients. For your convenience, in addition to standard 8:30-5 hours, we offer some early morning and early evening hours. You can view our office hours here!

  • After Hours

One of our doctors is on call 24/7/365. Please call our main number and the answering service will page the on call doctor who will call you back. Unless it is a true medical emergency and requires 911, it is best when you call the on-call physician to discuss recommendations prior to heading to the Emergency Department or Urgent Care. We often arrange to see patients in our office on Saturday and/or Sunday who should not wait to be seen until Monday.

  • Billing and Insurance

Because each insurance plan is unique to you, we highly encourage each patient  to familiarize themselves with what your insurance plan does and does not cover including deductibles and co-insurance. We ask that you provide up-to-date insurance information at every visit. We require timely payment of your portion of the bill for caring for your child, if you require payment assistance, you may coordinate a payment plan with our Patient Accounts Representative. Please call our office to verify our participation with your insurance plan!

  • Well Child Care

We believe children should be seen for a well child exam at the intervals recommended by the Academy of Pediatrics and Bright futures because preventative medicine is the best way to keep your child healthy. We require all of our patients to adhere to this schedule for your child's well child care visits because we genuinely believe that is the best medical care we can give.

  • Timeliness

Our practice makes every effort to run on time with appointments, as we believe everyone’s time is equally valuable. We ask that you make every effort to arrive at our office a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time and call us if you are running behind. Please view our missed appointment policy here.

  • Civility

We understand that custody arrangements and unique family dynamics can be challenging, however, we must adhere to the Pennsylvania State Laws and we cannot make any changes without a legal document on file.
