Eden Park prescribes antibiotics purposefully and evaluates each child to avoid the overuse of antibiotics. We educate families on appropriate use of antibiotics, and follow evidence-based guidelines. We do not routinely call in antibiotics over the phone as we do not believe that is good medicine. We will prescribe an antibiotic when we believe it is the appropriate treatment after your child has been seen.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive medical care and serve as your medical home. Therefore, it is best when you contact our office FIRST before seeking specialty care, or heading to Urgent Care so we can provide you with the best recommended course of action for your individual child and their medical history.
Whenever you do see a specialist, we ask that you request a report be sent directly to our office so we can coordinate all of your care.
Our practice prides itself on efficiency through use of technology. We encourage our patients to contact us through our patient portal, use this website for information, acknowledge automated reminders, and utilize online resources such as CHADIS.
We make every effort to meet the needs of our patients. For your convenience, in addition to standard 8:30-5 hours, we offer some early morning and early evening hours. You can view our office hours here!
One of our doctors is on call 24/7/365. Please call our main number and the answering service will page the on call doctor who will call you back. Unless it is a true medical emergency and requires 911, it is best when you call the on-call physician to discuss recommendations prior to heading to the Emergency Department or Urgent Care. We often arrange to see patients in our office on Saturday and/or Sunday who should not wait to be seen until Monday.
Because each insurance plan is unique to you, we highly encourage each patient to familiarize themselves with what your insurance plan does and does not cover including deductibles and co-insurance. We ask that you provide up-to-date insurance information at every visit. We require timely payment of your portion of the bill for caring for your child, if you require payment assistance, you may coordinate a payment plan with our Patient Accounts Representative.
We believe children should be seen for a well child exam at the intervals recommended by the Academy of Pediatrics and Bright futures because preventative medicine is the best way to keep your child healthy. We require all of our patients to adhere to this schedule for your child's well child care visits because we genuinely believe that is the best medical care we can give.
Our practice makes every effort to run on time with appointments, as we believe everyone’s time is equally valuable. We ask that you make every effort to arrive at our office a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time and call us if you are running behind. Please view our missed appointment policy here.
We understand that custody arrangements and unique family dynamics can be challenging, however, we must adhere to the Pennsylvania State Laws and we cannot make any changes without a legal document on file.
