Dr. Flynn grew up in Quakertown, PA and attended Penn State before venturing down to Florida for medical school with her now-husband. She returned to her alma mater for her pediatric residency in Hershey, PA and is thrilled to be joining the EPPA team and the Lancaster community. She enjoys providing comprehensive care to all ages of children, from infancy through adulthood. Some of her favorite aspects of pediatrics are early development and adolescence. When she's not working, you can find her playing with her son, Henry or walking her dogs, Peyton and Wynn.
What do you wish every parent of a newborn would know?
KF: You are embarking on the hardest but most rewarding journey of your life! The early days can feel very overwhelming trying to make sure you are doing everything "right". As best as you can, be present. You will blink and that baby in front of you will be smiling, then rolling, sitting, crawling, etc. Enjoy each step along the way.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
KF: Try not to compare yourself to others, just to who you were yesterday.
You’re 5 years old again. What do you want to be when you grow up?
KF: A singer! My parents can attest to my nightly concerts (sorry, mom and dad)
Why did you decide to become a pediatrician?
KF: #1) Kids are so resilient! They can overcome so much adversary with the a good team behind them. I love being part of that team.
#2) Kids are hilarious and unfiltered. They make work so much fun!
