Judy Hipple, DO

All Providers

Judy started at Eden Park Pediatrics in July of 1994. She was so excited to start on this new adventure, a culmination of years of dreams and hard work. But Judy felt very comfortable, as she had known her future partners for over  3 years. As an Intern at the Community Hospital of Lancaster, she met and admired Dr. Knox-Lee and Dr. Valuch. A few years later, Dr. Cook joined the practice. Judy had the pleasure of working as a resident under Dr. Cook at Hershey Medical Center. She was extremely lucky to enter this amazing practice with smart, talented physicians. It held her to high standards, that she strives for every day. Judy and her husband Dave welcomed their daughter Katie in June of 1998 and daughter Caroline made the family complete in December 2002. Judy resides in Lititz, Warwick School District with her family and 3 dogs. Judy loves all things basketball and soccer, from her Golden State Warriors, to her local Warwick Warriors. She can be found at Lake Wynonnah on a boat when her daughter's soccer games are not keeping her in town.

What do you wish every parent of a newborn would know?

JH: I wish every first time mom/dad to know that having this wonderful newborn will be an amazing, wonderful experience. But it will also be the hardest job you will every perform. It will teach you patience and unselfishness. You will be grateful for the little things... like sleep... and get elated over the simple pat of a toddlers hand on your back. You will think you are royalty when your 6 month old gets so excited to see your face. Please be patient with the trying times and take deep breaths because time will be your friend and EPPA will be there to help navigate through the years.

When did you decide to become a pediatrician?

JH:I decided to become a doctor in third grade. There was never a time I don't remember striving for this goal. I remember being so excited to graduate college because finally I was heading to medical school... my dream. I couldn't contain my excitement. I remember that day so vividly. I had grown up in a family of nurses. I had heard countless stories of the hospital. I worked as a nursing assistant through college and developed a huge respect for nurses and all the supporting staff at the hospital. Now over 25 years doing this great job, I feel lucky that I get the chance to take care of your children.

What was your favorite game to play when you were a kid?

JH: Kickball. We played it every day at recess. Then when we came home from school, we would continue with the game. We would play until it was too dark to see. It was just pure fun and time to just be kids. In a time where everything is so scheduled, take time to just have fun.
